Q: But the Hypeye Mini does not have a switch. Why?
A: We admit that some may enjoy having the switch. However,
we have found the switch is prone to breaking, adds more items to your
helmet and really does not do anything more than the switch on your camera.
After talking to Mike McGowin, and a lot other full time videographers,
we found they do not use the switch. In fact Mike McGowin teaches people
not to do so. The switch provides a location to house the electronics,
our electronics are fully integrated in the display. Do you really want
to drill another gapping hole in your helmet to cleanly house the switch?
